What is included in a Side by Side Parenting session?
The session is shaped around the concern you bring and the needs of your family.
We may explore your child’s development and behaviour, the nervous-system responses within the family, different parenting approaches, emotional triggers, past experiences and the relationship dynamics influencing what is happening at home.
You will receive personalised guidance, relevant educational resources and a clearer understanding of the factors shaping the situation. A complimentary 30-minute follow-up call is also available within 14 days if further support is required.
How long is the session and where does it take place?
Side by Side Parenting is a 90-minute private session held online through Zoom.
You can attend from home or another private place where you feel comfortable speaking openly. Your Zoom link and session details will be provided after booking.
Who is the session for?
The session is for individual parents or couples who want personalised support with parenting and family life.
You may be preparing for parenthood, adjusting to life with a baby, navigating the early years, experiencing different parenting approaches or trying to understand a recurring difficulty within your family.
Both parents are welcome, but one parent can attend alone.
What can we talk about during the session?
You can bring any parenting concern that would benefit from deeper understanding.
This may include:
• Different parenting styles
• Emotional triggers
• Communication between parents
• Boundaries and expectations
• Understanding your child’s behaviour
• Nervous-system responses within the family
• Feeling overwhelmed or carrying most of the emotional responsibility
• Concerns about the emotional tone of the home
The session is personalised, so the conversation will focus on what is most relevant to your family.
Can both parents attend together?
Yes. Both parents are welcome to attend, particularly when you are approaching parenting differently or finding it difficult to make decisions together.
You do not need to agree on everything. The session helps each parent understand what may be shaping the other person’s response, so the conversation can move away from blame and towards clearer communication and more considered decisions.
One parent can also attend independently.
What will I leave the session with?
You will leave with a clearer understanding of what may be happening for your child, what is being activated within you and how the wider family dynamic may be influencing the situation.
You will also receive personalised guidance to help you respond with more awareness and make decisions that reflect the needs of your child and family.
The aim is not to give you a rigid parenting formula. It is to help you see the pattern clearly enough to choose a more cons
